Play music for your baby? My husband insists that I play Baby Don't Cry by Jamey Johnson every night for the baby. So every night before bed I strap the headphones to my tummy and play it. She starts swishing around in there (anterior placenta so I dont feel alot of kicks) . I am not sure if she likes it or not. lol....anyone else doing this?

I sing a lot to the kid (well... I beatbox to it, I guess...) and DW plays piano and cello frequently... I also play a decent amount of music in the car for DS as well (Blockhead - Insomniac Olympics - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvcHGu95XGM )

But if I had to play a song for the kid before bed... It would definitely have to be the Teddy Bear Song (Full House version... not Elvis - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ok5H4mxFU0 )

I was, until MH read that putting head phones to your belly can damage the baby's hearing permanently.

I sing to him in the car and sometimes DH does at night. We try to read a book to him a couple nights a week too. Not sure if there is any type of benefit to doing this but we enjoy it.
