It's my belly - hands off!!! VENT...

So my neighbor, who has 2 kids of her own & I'm friends with stopped over tonight. I'm not sure if she had a few drinks or not, but either way. She started trying to poke my stomach and got annoyed when I told her to keep her hands to herself!  I'm not even showing yet!!! Then she started venting to my husband that SHE was never miserable when she was pregnant and our other neighbor (also pg) will let her touch her belly. THEN, proceeded to tell my husband that I'm never gonna let him out once the baby is born and that I'm just going to get more and more miserable...GRRRRRRR!

Seriously..I'm hormonal, do you really wanna F with me?

Thank God, my hubby was having a "good husband" moment and reminded me (after she left) that she probably wasn't thinking about what she was saying, and wasn't trying to rub in the fact that I feel like poo.

    Oh yeah!  Nobody's tried touching my belly yet, but I would definitely be pretty upset if they did right now!  I'm a little overweight, so it kinda looked like I had a baby belly before I got pregnant, so I pretty much look the same now.

    Hoping your neighbor doesn't try to give your husband any more "advice" about the way you are going to be!  I was feeling pretty crappy earlier this week too and even thinking myself I might not feel normal again.  Today was actually a great day, I was happy and felt good!

    wow, i would have gone off on her. who the hell is she to judge you in your home about your body....grrrr sorry hun i can see how that would stress you out.

    sounds like she's having problems at home and projecting them onto you. hopefully she went home and slept it off. next time she rings, pretend you'r not home.

    What is it with people that think they have the right to invade a woman's personal space just b/c she's pg?  I'm sure she wouldn't be happy with you poking her in the belly, pg or not.

    If she was drunk, maybe she didn't realize just how rude and stupid she was being.  You still have a right to be upset though.

    So, I'm actually a huge fan of the belly-love... good thing, since I work at an elementary school, and random kids rub my belly ALL day long!  However, adults need to have a little sense - it is pretty easy to sense people's personal space limits... and if someone doesn't want to be touched, it isn't a big deal.  She was seriously rude about it! Not cool!

    I'd have tried to rub her belly and said some bs about what was it like when you were pregnant- or better yet, 'so, did you get your figure back after the kids?'

    I'm like this too.  I have always been a belly love person--however, I wouldn't just start to touch someone's stomach without permission or anything.

    I'm not sure how I'll be... But I HOPE that at least people ask... And it's weird if you're not showing yet... I agree with the whole rubbing her belly thing... it would have freaked her out, I bet.

    Missing my little one lost at 9 weeks on 2.24.13. brokenhearted but not broken... 

    d&c 5/21/13... Still Healing, Still Standing... 

    MMC discovered 10/2/2013, TWINS... d&c 10/7/2013.  I still miss you, little ones. 

    Surgery December 2013 to remove a 10+cm fibroid... Open myomectomy. Benched for 3-9 months... 
    Will TTC summer Summer 2014 we hope!

    Dear God, Since I couldn't hold my little one in my lap and tell him about you, could you hold him in your lap and tell him about me?
