So I thought I was in the clear when DH's work trip to Texas got pushed back from the end of February to April (I'm due on the 13th of February.) But we just got the news that now he's headed to Chicago for 3 days on February 21st! I mean, its great that he's leading all these important projects now which would make me think he's on his way to a good raise come March or maybe... {fingers crossed} a promotion. But right now is just such bad timing!
I've decided to start the evening primrose oil tonight, as I am only 50% effaced and not dilated at all. I ate mango today, tried a little nip stimulation, and if you read my past post, sex was a no-go disaster.... But still NOTHING. I haven't even had a BH today. Ugh.
I guess I have to talk to my DR on Wednesday about maybe being induced (I really wanted to go natural though) on the 17th-ish so DH can see his daughter for a few days before he leaves and I don't go into labor while he's gone. How frustrating.
So please girls, send me some good labor vibes please and I'll send them back as soon as I deliver!
Re: Upsetting news about DH's work.... ugh.
Sending lots of early/on-time labor thoughts to you! You do have a bit of a cushion, as long as you go around your due date, DH will be able to be there with you for a week or so before he leaves. And 3 days isn't too bad! Can you have your mom or another family member come stay with you while he's gone? Hopefully all this travel will lead to good things for his career!
Yeah. My mother will come stay with me while he's gone, but I was really looking forward to a week of having him home with just me and the baby and NO RELATIVES. This is our first baby and I feel like its such an important thing to bond and have him bond with her. It just depresses me. I know it will all work out, but I hope for all our sakes I go in to labor just a little early. Like next week ish would be fantastic.
If only i could set the dial on my uterus.
AAAAAAMEN!!
It is really important and you shouldn't be told otherwise. Have you tried any spicy foods? Being in KY I'd think you could find all sorts of good eats around. It IS exciting he's being sent traveling, but it sucks it's so close to your DD.
