Anyone have zero labor progress by due date?

Hi ladies, I'm a lurker & PAIF poster ...

I'm just looking for stories from real people who have had zero progress by their due date but then progressed just fine for labor. ;) Good ol' IF has me a little worried.

I'm due tomorrow. At my appt yesterday I was at 0cm, 0% effaced and not engaged. I'm not as much worried about the no dilation as I am about the lack of thinning. At 34wk u/s, baby was estimated at 6.2lbs, in the 70th %-ile and "with a big head."

I was hoping to go as med-free as possible for delivery, now I have an induction scheduled for next Saturday, 10 days after my due date, if I don't progress at all again next week. I'm having an u/s next week to check growth & all.

Give me hope things can progress before then! ;) Thanks!!!

    Me I went into labor on my own 5 days after my due date.

    Were you not dilated/effaced/engaged at all before then? Whew, that makes me feel better!

    I had 0 progress by my due date and the OB mentioned stripping membranes, but I refused.  I knew DS would come in his own time.  4 days later my water broke and DS was born.

    Me!  I had nothing.  They let me go 1 week past my due date.  Even induction didn't work. Ended up with a c-section.  Good luck!

    Nope none at all, two days before I went into labor I was fingertip dilated my OB stripped my membranes and scheduled an induction.  He was totally convinced I would need to be induced.  When I went into labor two days later I arrived at L&D 2cm dilated.  They kept me and I did not need any other drugs to help my labor along.

    I gave birth to my son 12 hours later.

    DS did end up being a forcep birth after 3.5 hours of pushing he just wasn't descending but even with the forceps I had very minimal tearing or bleeding.  Don't give up hope!

    Everyone IRL keeps telling me "she'll come when she's ready" and "your body knows what to do" -- but they don't know IF and the worries that your body needs help for everything, kwim?!
