DD has started eating much better now that we are doing mostly BLW, but some days I feel like I never leave the kitchen. Do you set a time limit when you feed? I've tried letting her let me know when she's done but she seems to either be a bottomless pit or a slow eater. Monday I gave her steamed carrots for lunch. She gnawed on them, put them down and chased them around the tray, chewed a little more, switched hands, chewed again. We sat there for almost an hour until I had to get her ready for me to leave for work. I don't want to rush her and I love watching her learn the textures, temperatures, and tastes of different foods, but is it good for her to constantly eat?

Re: BLW and time
I understand. DS will sit forever and just eats and eats. We figure he's done when he starts to seem bored/starts to throw stuff on the floor. He is really good about putting things down onto the tray and picking other stuff up. He's not real messy considering he's eating just about everything.
I don't think that it's wrong to set a time limit. I mean, lets be honest, you can't sit there for 2 hours while she plays with/eats her carrots. Life gets in the way.
