Prayers needed!! Birth Update for Femme Fatale

For those that may not know, one of our labor buddies, Femme Fatale, had pre-e that escalated to HELLP suddenly. Her OB had hoped she'd be able to hold on to her baby till 36 weeks but her baby girl (Team Green) was delivered via c-section this morning at 3:26am, 31-32 weeks gestation after Femme's BP spiked last night.

Baby girl's birth weight was 2lbs 10z and is 15.25 inches long. If she's anything like her mother, I'm sure she is a fighter. Femme has not met her daughter let alone held her as she is sick right now and not cleared to be near the baby. Once she gets the OK she'll be next to her baby every chance she gets. Femme also has toddler twins at home who were also preemies.

If possible, could you please keep this mom and new baby girl in your thoughts and prayers? We're praying for a swift recovery for mom to rejoin her baby girl and an uneventful NICU stay so she can heal quickly and get home to her family. TIA!

I know we all joke about the issues of being pregnant, how horrible we feel, we ache, we're tired, throwing up, leaky boobs, etc. But this is what it really comes down to, all joking aside. All of that seems very minor when your baby's at risk. Those NICU moms out there know how scary it is and every minute counts. Every hour is a milestone and I cannot imagine the heartbreak she feels knowing she cannot meet her daughter yet, let alone hold her.

Wow....I can't imagine what it would be like to go through this, especially not seeing your baby. She and her daughter and their entire family for that matter are definitely in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much for keeping us updated.

Wow. Thanks for keeping us updated. I'll be keeping her and her LO in my thoughts and prayers. I couldn't imagine going through something like that. It makes me grateful that I've had a "good" pregnancy so far.
