  Very sorry for your loss.  I hope your stay here is short and sweet.  

  I have not heard of using dandelion root when TTC.  What is it supposed to do?

  I am sorry for your loss, but wanted to welcome you to the board.  From what I understand, dandelion root is mostly good for digestion and it can help with mood stabilization.  It can work as a laxative, and for that reason I'd personally avoid it while TTC. 

  On a side note, it's bitter. 

  I hope your stay on the board is short and sweet.

  Thanks for all the welcoming comments..

  My BFF told me today that when I'm ready to TTC she has some leftover dandelion root pills so if I wanted them she'd be happy to share. She was told by a gf of hers about it. Her gf was TTC for over a year and started taking it, few weeks later and she got pg. So my BFF took it and conceived 3 weeks later. She said shes not sure if its a coincidence or not. She just said she stopped taking it once she got a BFP.  Just was curious about it. Will do some more research though before taking it.

  Welcome!  I am very sorry for your loss.  I haven't heard about Dandelion Root and TTC so I can't answer your question, but I'm curious to see if others can.

  Hi Tiffany -- I am so sorry for your loss.  This Board is a great resource for information and support - I hope it is as helpful for you on your TTCAL journey as it has been for me and many others.

  Don't be scared by the Blog!  After you're active on a Board for a little while you'll see why it is a good (and totally typical) Newbie referral.  

  Now to the dandelion root.  Not sure what that's about.  I wonder if it is in the same family as chasteberry, which is the active ingredient in Vitex?

  Well according to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) dandelion root would be recommended to help cleanse and purify the kidneys and liver. Even thought to tonify and prepare the uterus in preparation for conception.  It is also thought to cool the body so if you had excess heat (yang) then it would help to restore the natural balance. It may help with anemia, ease constipation and even clear up acne. Don't know if it as miraculous as it sounds but could be worth giving a try.

  Don't be scared of the board - we're all pretty darn nice and everyone is very supportive.  There are a lot of rules with this board, but they are mostly in place to avoid hurting one another.  It's pretty much just common sense stuff.
