DD not drinking much today - any experience?

Daycare just called to let me know DD has been sleeping most of the day and hasn't shown much interest in taking a bottle. But she doesn't have a fever and she's smiling and happy (not fussy, crabby, etc.).

Has anyone experienced something similar? I can't decide if I should be worried or if she's just having an "off" day.

  • Yes, Mark was like that about a week ago. He is just now starting to eat his formula like he used to. I have no idea what was up with him, but he had no fever, was playing and happy - pretty much no indication that he was unhappy or didn't feel good. As long as they're still eating and happy I don't see a reason to be worried.

  • Thanks. Hopefully she's back to herself tomorrow. Your son is adorable!
  • My DD does this often.  Sometimes she doesn't want to stop looking around or playing or whatever to take her bottle.  She usually still eats well at night and it doesn't affect her sleeping through the night either.  Sometimes it will be after a day or two of her not pooping and the next day we'll get a huge blowout so I don't know if it might have something to do with her just feeling "full" because she hadn't pooped in a while.  I wouldn't worry about it though as long as there's no fever and she's still playful/happy!
