Has anyone ever tried taking Maca as a fertility supplement? Any success stories?

It's some sort of South American Radish like root, that supposedly enhances fertility a lot....

    Hello dear! I cannot say I have ever heard of this, but I did find this:

    If I were back at 6 months ttc, I might would give this a shot. I am at the point where I would try anything, but this says it reaches it's full potency after 120 days using it.

    Such a great article!! Thanks for sharing! I have been researching about so many herbs (as you already know lol), and this one has sounded like the safest one, with no consequences at all....well, except a BFP.....and I will take that consequence in a heartbeat! I may just have to go out and buy this....

    We should chat herbs and TTC sometime, with others like us who are very open minded, and love the organic and healthy way to conceive:) I heard you can do so on Gabbly.com.     That's awesome for your friend! I haven't read one single bad thing about it! How long was your friend taking it before she got her BFP? And yeah, I heard about the loopiness too....I'm sure it's a good loopy though lol

    They've actually started adding this to the men's fertility vitamin that my hubby takes.  don't know if it works yet as he's only been taking the one with Maca added for a month. and i'm in my 2ww... if i get PG this cycle i'd be happy to attribute part of the success to this!

    but i haven't heard of taking it for women. just men. interesting... maybe it's worth looking into for next cycle for myself.

    She is 5 months along everything is going great, I believe. She is a natural health nut guru so I pretty sure she researched it like crazy too. It must be good.

    If you go to the Taking Charge of your Fertility message boards you will find a bit about it. I tried Maca and I can tell you I saw an immediate increase in CM (BIG TIME). However, make sure you get the pill form, the powder is what evil must taste like. I used it the two months leading up to my BFP but not that month so I don't know that it made a difference but it can't hurt.

     Congrats on your BFP! I think I am definitely going to give Maca a shot. Do you know if with Maca, you discontinue it once you confirm a pregnancy....or do you take it while ypu are TTC and continue it through your pregnancy?

    That's good! I am excited about Maca! Finally! A good herbal supplement with no bad consequences:) GL to you! I'll let you know how it goes for me.
