I work at an auto parts store, so the customer base is 90% male, and the staff is all male except for me. This doesn't bother me in the least. BUT.... Men just don't know how to say things the right way.
I can handle some things.... When I was pregnant with DD#1, I was asked when I was going to "calve out". That was one of my most shocking remarks last time around.
This time... I got the "Hi, Fatso!" as soon as I walked out of my office. I was shocked!!!! What do you do when your paying customers come out with comments like that?! I don't want to be a b!tch and never have their business again, but jeez! Can't they be a little nicer?
Anybody else get nasty comments yet?

Among other things, I've gotten "Hi there, chubby!" and more recently, "Is your butt pregnant too?! Yukyukyuk"
Definitely will have to try throat punching lol.
I've gotten... "You're awfully big for your baby being due May 1st..."
The "Are you sure there aren't 2 in there???" Is probably the one i LOATHE the most!
Yes, DH's father came over the other day and say's "So you getting fat yet?" I was sitting on the couch with a blanket over me. I stood up and said "No, I am not getting fat, but I am starting to show." I don't think he understood that he insulted me so I am sure it will happen again next month.
Honestly, laugh it off.
My husband's uncle walked in to Easter when I was pregnant with Cole and said Hi Fatty! I laughed with my mouth wide open, and very laughingly said back, Pregnancy hormones mean justifiable homicide. We both laughed, but the point got across. Needless to say, it wasn't said again after that.
Or "At least I'm pregnant, what's your excuse?"
I had someone in my HR dept tell me my butt was getting huge... I think I was 10 weeks! I was pissed... I honestly did not gain a pound at all yet and I am 24 weeks!
I got comments early on due to I showed early (my ob said it was cause I was pg a few months before and miscarried so this is considered my second pregnancy) that I was stupid for wearing maternity clothes so soon... um I had a bump and why should I not wear them! the person that was saying it is pregnant, 3 weeks ahead of me and is massively overweight. it is not my fault she is not showing. I just bite my tounge but if I could throat punch with out getting fired I would!!!
if someone ever told me that I was huge fat or anything like fat ass I would be ticked off and would not be able to contain myself...
I was showing really early too. I started wearing maternity pants at 12 weeks and definitely dont regret it. A girl at work told me it wasnt worth it and didnt start getting maternity clothes until she popped a button on her pants at 6 months. I would much rather be comfortable and get some use out of my clothes than wear skin tight everything.
