Success after IF

Now I want a housekeeper ::whaaaaa::

DH & I have been discussing this for about a year now & I felt like I just couldn't justify the expense for my small townhouse (3 level, 2 BR, 2.5 bath w/ finished basement), but ever since DD got here, I literally have almost NO time to clean & based on everyone's responses below, it's not all that expensive. I think it's time to talk to DH again about getting someone to clean our house - my neighbor has used the same lady for years, so I'd probably ask her for her info.

  • I know, right??  I'm going to start charging my DH and 2 tween stepchildren.  They're messes!!!!  Claire loves to clean and often picks up after herself.

Hahaha - yep, my H & dog are more of a mess than me or the baby so I feel like he should def go for the housekeeper thing. Big Smile

  • Do it!!  Today.

It will be the best money you ever spend.

  • I read once that the best thing you can do for your marriage is have a maid for 4 hours a month. It is easier said than done. Everyone has different budgets, etc.

However, I started getting into couponing (not crazy like that show-but WOW). I have cut my grocery bills down to about $160 for my family and we do not eat prepackaged meals and have a variety of foods.

I've learned I don't pay for toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, body  wash, deodorant, etc. You can actually fairly easily remove these personal care expenses from your budget and slash your food pricing with very little time invested. I am a working mom and do not have tons of free time.

With that money freed up I'm using a maid :)

  • I recommend it to anyone who will listen.  It will give you HOURS of your life back and a clean house.  Who could ask for more?

Through couponing? See, I don't think we do coupons to the same extent here in Canada. Coupons are rare. I just shop the sales.
