Are we nuts (wwyd) ?

The NICU just called and said they can release Benjamin today (they told us Thursday afternoon yesterday). Of course this afternoon we are due to get a nasty snowstorm and the hospital is an hour away in DC.

I get that they are trying to do us a favor, but If we get him today I will be having panic attacks on the highway the whole way home, not counting the hours of traffic we would likely run into. Are we crazy if we wait to get him until tomorrow? I want him home SO bad but I want him home safe!

I would want to wait as well.. Better safe then sorry. Plus if something is off and you have to rush back it would be easier without snow.

We decided to wait. We told them we'll be there as soon as we can get there tomorrow. I'm so excited to finally get him home!

No you are not nuts, I would wait too. Other drivers on the road are not as precautious as you would be. I am glad he is able to come home!

By the way, I am in MD too...Baltimore. Where are you?
