I got my first period at 6 weeks pp and they've been somewhat regular (24-30 day cycles). I used to be more regular pre-IUI/IVF, pregnancy, etc., but I assumed nursing might have thrown things off a bit. Now I've been bleeding for 2 weeks straight and I'm not sure why. It's gotten very light a few times and then gets heavy again and has stayed red the whole time. I never get cramps and don't have them now, but I've never bled longer than 5-7 days before. I don't know if it's because my son has started nursing a bit less due to being sick or if it's something else. I feel lost because I have no experience with this and I'm not really a run to the doctor type of person. I thought I'd ask all of you knowledgable ladies before I call a doctor because I hate calling doctors.

Thanks. You made me feel a little better about calling, maybe I'll give them a call later today and try to get in this week. I feel like if I make an appointment it will stop the day of and then I'll just feel ridiculous for being there. I think I will definitely try to call before the weekend because I'll probably regret not calling once Saturday comes. I don't know why, I just get really nervous about calling doctors.

I just got done with my period and no joke, it lasted 15 days. I've been pretty regular since I gave birth but I skipped last month so I'm thinking maybe my body was trying to make up for last month's period? Like you, I had no cramps. It was super heavy in the beginning and then tapered off to nothing. Unless you're in pain or extremely concerned, I wouldn't call, but that's just me.
TTC#2=July 2011: Surprise BFP: Chemical Pregnancy
Thanks! I might give it until Friday and see what's happening. I'm thinking it's no big deal and is probably my body still adjusting, but my husband is freaking out and wants me to call the doctor so I'm actually considering it. If he wasn't involved I probably wouldn't bother calling, but I might just to shut him up.
