We will have the TV on while DS is in the room (not that anyone gets to watch it since we're chasing him around!) but we've tried putting on cartoons here and there and he has no interest. Some shows will grab his attention (like Wheel of Fortune lol) but for the most part, nothing. Not that I'm trying to get him to sit and watch it all day, I just wonder at what age can I sit down and watch a movie with him? Or sometimes we'd like to get him to sit still for 10 minutes so we can breath. Impossible.
Re: Does your LO watch TV?
I have a DS(3). He finally can sit and watch a movie. DD(18m) will glance up occasionally but she usually just plays with toys right now.
My kids love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Little Einsteins.

DS Loves Elmo! Whenever Sesame Street is on, I'll point to the TV, he'll see it's Elmo and get soooo excited, then go back to playing. He'll glance up every now and again & you can tell he's listening to the music since he dances a little, but he's not into watching an episode.
I personally think "banning" TV, or anything for that matter is just going to make more problems than it's really worth.

The wretched fatigue of the first trimester has led to far more TV in our house than I'm comfortable with...but on some afternoons when I'm just too exhausted to chase DS around, I turn on an episode of Yo Gabba Gabba, which he adores. He's never watched an entire episode from start to finish -- he'll watch for a few minutes, play, watch, play, etc.
Bad, I know...but you gotta do what you gotta do.
Ya I'm just now getting my energy back and there are many times I put something on for him and wished I could just lay there for a minute. No luck though

Practically Never.
There have been, I think, three times when we have been both quite sick at the same time, that we have snuggled down to watch something. At most, 10 min at a time.
I like Krtek mole cartoons on youtube, because they are silent and cute. My in-laws live in the Czech republic so they get her little Krtek things all the time.
We've also watched some Saun The Sheep via netflix, but it seems to be too fast paced for her. She can't follow the story line and so loses interest (but I enjoy them).
I also like Pingu the penguin (more youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/pingu?blend=2&ob=4)
