Anybody have this as there BC method?  I was really excited about it when I talked about it with my doctor but as the day that it is getting placed gets nearer I am getting very nervous and having nightmares about it.  I read the literature and it looks like there is a higher incidence of uterine perforation and ectopic pregnancy, which are the things I am scared of.  How do you like it?  Are there any downsides of it?

    I had it placed the last week of December.  I bled like a stuck pig until last week.  This week it's just been some spotting.  Other than that, I'm happy with it - especially considering I don't have to remember to take BCP every night.  And I haven't noticed a change in my hormones like with the BCP.

    I haven't gotten it yet this time, but I had it after Mitchell was born. Within about 8mos my period was pretty non-existent. I got it out in January and got pg in March and had no issues with my pregnancy.

    I plan on getting it again during my period next month. I loved it!!

    Just got it put in last Friday! No problems so far, had some pretty nasty cramping  & bleeding after it was put in until the next day. But, since then no real bad cramping and I have only been spotting very little since Sunday. So far, so good!!

    Love it so far. I have been spotting on and off since I got it but no real cramping except during the time where I think I had AF. It's hard to tell right now bc of the spotting. I had to go for something that would not involve remembering something every day.

    I've had two, no cramping no spotting at all.  All is well with it :)

    I got it put in the last week of december.  So far, I love it.  I had some spotting (nothing more than a pantyliner needed) for about 3 weeks, since then I've had no spotting.  I had no cramping after the first day or so.  I love not having to think about BC.  Also, I can BF with it, so that's a major plus.

    I'm scared of it too. If your periods aren't too bad, have you considered paragard? I react badly to hormonal BCP. I do ok with low level BCP, but still have a slight weight gain and deceased libido with those. Just schedule DH for a vasectomy. But we have two beautiful children now and are done!

    I have it. No complaints, but it's only been a week. There are risks with everything you do and use. Even the BCP is not perfect and with condoms, you risk latex allergy. Is it common? Eh. But the pharma companies have to report any side effects, even if it only happened to 3 out of 1500 people.

    I had mine placed Dec. 15 while AF was here. Had some cramping and on and off spotting since, but it that has all slowed down. It hasn't given me any problems, but I am so paranoid about what's going on in there. "Is it in place still? Is it going to mess anything up and cause a LOF?" I think I'm just being a worrywart since I've never had anything since BCP.
