s/o BFing - Q for retired BF'ers (TMI)

Did it take a long time for you to want DH/SO to touch the girls again?  I stopped BFing about a month ago and I just don't want DH near them.  It doesn't help that he grabs for them like a 14 year old boy whenever he sees me naked, he seems to think that now that I'm not BFing anymore, they are HIS.  I just want a break for them to be MINE for a little while!  Is that completely weird?

  • DH was never particularly weirded out by them even when I was BFing. Embarrassed

I mean, he didn't, ahem, sample anything, but he never avoided them.

Ha ha!  DH didn't avoid them while I was BFing, but I never wanted him to set me off during our adult time, if you know what I mean, so I sort of shoo'ed him away probably more than I needed to.  I think now he thinks that since I'm "done" BFing that its a free for all like it was pre-baby and I'm just not ready!

  • Not weird at all.  It is a strange feeling finally having my body back for the first time in 5 years.  All to myself.  No one else.  Oh wait, except my husband who also is like your husband. My son stopped nursing in late September & early October & I am finally okay with sharing a little of me again ; )  Probably took me three months to feel this way.

  • The girls are and were off limits while BFing. It took me about 3 months after weaning to feel like it was OK for him to play with them again. Sadly, they had deflated by then and they weren't much fun anymore, but at least he didn't care.

  • OMG I just laughed so hard reading your post I spilled coffee out my nose!  Anyway, I had to let mine dry up after weaning S so nobody was coming near them for 3 months and it worked because last week when I had my mammogram she said my milk was all dried up!  Now I just feel like if S can't have them neither can DH  Crying

  • I am sooooo glad you posted this! I feel the exact same way -  and I was worried that it might just be *me* - sorry you feel this way too, but I am glad I am not the only one. It is one of the things that I am looking forward to when we wean -  a little me time with no one pawing at my girls. And I am looking forward to eventually enjoyin' what the good Lord gave me again...
