An acquaintence of ours made a sort of yearbook for their daughter after she turned one.  It was a beautiful hard cover photobook full of photos of her throughout her first year.  I think she made it through a website and then had it printed.  She was able to have colorful backgrounds and I think even some words and titles.  I think she said she spent around $60 for it, which seems reasonable to me.  I can't remember how many pages it was.  Has anyone here made something similar?  Can you recommend a good company/website?  I'd really love it if it's the kind of thing you can work on throughout the year and then have printed at the end.  That way I could also start work on my newborn son's book and it wouldn't be such a huge task at his birthday.

Re: Recommend a good photobook website
Shutterfly. Hands-down. And for an 8"x8" hardcover, it's only $30. And they're on sale right now for 30% off.
I've made several of these books over the years, and I love.love.love them. I cannot say enough good things about Shutterfly.

Tons of places do this now. My favorite is Blurb.com.

Ditto Shutterfly. I have used them several times over the years and everyone raves.
I've used Shutterfyly with great results.
I haven't tried them but I've heard Costco has a nice hardcover book as well.
