I was just reading the previous post and I got confused again! I have mostly pocket diapers and some flip covers. So those that the baby doesn't put their skin on, you use again, like the flip covers?

I wipe it or rinse it and let it air dry... alternating between 2 covers all day.

From what I understand, unless the cover itself is soiled, people reuse it several times.. sometimes for the whole day. So, if it's a cover over a prefold or a fitted, unless there is some kind of an explosion or a really heavy soaking, the cover can be reused.

This is what we do. We have about 5 covers that we rotate and do CD laundry every other day. We have a few Fuzzibunz that we use in-between too.

Like PP said I have a few I rotate throughout the day. I don't use the same one back to back....it's usually pretty damp and needs a break to air out and dry.

If it's just a cover or a snap-in (no part of the cover touches the baby) you don't have to wash unless it gets poop on it (or after several pees when it would smell etc).

this is how I feel. I usually wash at the end of the day.

Yep, I air out my covers in between changes using 2-3 for the day, depending on if she decides to have a solid food poop or BM poop. ;-) I use Best Bottoms and GroVia as my AI2 systems.
