How selfish am I?!?!

I got a new nephew this morning! And as excited as I was to hear he was here, all I wanted to know was his name. They kept the name a secret, and nobody would respond to DH's texts or calls. MIL finally told me late this afternoon. Turns out First nor Middle name was anything we have even even considered! I was so relieved that my names had not been taken! Naming a baby is hard, so I'm glad we don't have to start over if this is a boy!! Go ahead...tell me how pathetic I am! Embarrassed

    Not pathetic at all.

    Alex's super trashy, drug head cousin just got pregnant again.  And I am going to be so angry if she uses any of the names we have picked.  I might could get over a respectable family member using a name we have on our list but won't be ok with this cousin "stealing" our names.

    We want to only use family names so we didn't have a ton to pick from in the first place.

    The worst part is that I am not pregnant and we have no clue if a #2 is even realistic at this point.

    I'd probably do the same thing with close family.  Good thing that DH's sisters are done and my siblings haven't started yet.  : )

    I've never heard Ransom before - is it a family name? [Of course, I couldn't get more traditional than with Andrew, so what do I know?!?]

    Nope, I don't think your are selfish at all! Naming your baby is no easy task for most.

    Not selfish at all! It's so hard to name a baby, and I would be nervous too if there was a chance they chould choose your name. You probably only have a few more weeks until you find out what you're having right?

    Feeling better each day! I'm still getting sick or dry heaving most mornings, but then the days are pretty good. I'll take that over feeling sick all day! Big Smile
