It wasn't to bad. Honestly the worst part was driving in traffice for 2.5 hours to go about 30 miles. I was pretty on edge when I got there lol. I also stupidly forgot my wallet and insurance card, I started crying when she asked for my card. The only reason they were able to do the procedure today was the fact that I had been seen at the hospital before. I had an emergency D&C there a few days after my first D&C back in August...someone at work told me its because everything happens for a reason. I refrained from punching her but it was tough.
Anyway, it was a bit uncomfortable and they actually had to reinsert the catheter at one point but otherwise it was fine. Both tubes looked good which was a concern of mine with my last pregnancy a potential ectopic. My RE did say there was a part of the top of my uterus that was attenuated a bit which could mean a septum. I have a hysteroscopy on friday so that should tell me one way or another. For some reason I am handling that possibility a lot better than I would have expected. I am a glass half empty kind of person and take things pretty hard. I am not going to get worked up about this until I know for sure. I hope this will put me on the road back to TTC. But for now I am very much enjoying stalking all of your charts!!

Re: Had HSG today...
I was looking at your siggy and you and I have had a bit of similar history. I hope that all is well and that the HSG is all good. I was thinking of asking my doc for one. What made you and your doctor decide to have it done? I heard that the couple months after the HSG you are more fertile bc it opens everything up. Are you allowed to TTC right now? If so I wish you luck!

I have noticed your siggy a few times too. Very similar....Honestly my OB didnt think I needed any testing and just felt I should try again. I asked so many questions and really was so uneasy with it that she offered/recommended referral to an RE. They both agree an immune disease is lower on the list( I have no idea their mindset on that) but the RE felt that having a closer look at my uterus to rule out any scarring/adhesions from my 2 D&C's and then the HSG to see if my tubes were abnormal because of the possible ectopic.
I am not TTC right now, my RE said she doesnt usually say you have to wait the three months after the Methotrexate but she calls the whole cycle her evaluation cycle and suggested we continue to TTA until we finish the testing. Friday is my last test... Hopefully back at it next cycle. If your Dr. is willing to do it then I can say from my experience today it was no where near as painful as I was expecting or read on google. I'm sure everyone is different though. I think with the ectopic it helped give a bit of peace of mind about my tubes. Good luck, I am really hoping third time is a charm for both of us.

Glad to hear the test went well for you!!! I also had an ectopic pregnancy, in my left tube. I had the HSG done on January 7th, and was very relieved to find out my tubes & uterus looked good. I had a bad experience with the actual test though! But, it was worth it bc I am like a different person after getting the good news!!! I hope that you get more good news after your next test Friday, good luck!
That is really good to know. I was not offered any testing after the ectopic but I think it would put my mind more at ease if they were to check. I think I will ask more questions and see if they might consider some more testing. Thanks for the info on the pain level. I really am not excited about the pain. But its hopefully all worth it in the end. FX third times the charm for us both.
