I miscarried naturally on Decemeber 26th and the bleeding lasted until the 31st. I started testing with the ovulation predictor kit starting on January 4th and kept getting negative after negative test results.
I started to think I wouldn't ovulate again until after my next period showed up and then on January 22nd bam a smiley face was looking at me (I use the Clear Blue Easy Digital OPKs). I got another positive the next morning on January 23rd.
My husband and I did the baby dance by chance the day before my positive result, the day of, the day after and will do it again tonight just incase.
I wonder if it's possible to find out I'm pregnant just 6 weeks after my miscarriage?!?!? If I were to conceive my due date would be October 16th, the day we married last year...
Has anyone conceived right after a miscarriage or know of anyone who has?
Re: Positive OPK 4 weeks after natural miscarriage
Did your doctor give you a time line for when you can TTC again?
I think you CAN get pregnant but it may be dangerous? no? maybe? I would call my doctor just to double check. Good Luck!
She did say to wait for one period to return before I start trying again so we would be able to predict an accurate due date. And if I had fallen pregnant without taking the OPKs I don't think I would have ever know about when I ovulated/conceived, but since I was taking the OPKs I can be certain if I were to conceive it was on or around January 23rd.
Everything I read online says with a straight forward natural miscarriage that is also early (I wasn't even 6 weeks when I miscarried) you can conceive right away. I know when a D&C is performed it can be risky because the lining of the uterus is scraped down so thin.
So yes techinically I was told to wait for one period to come back but I did break that rule.
You've apparently O'd, so I'd say "yes", and if the pee stick gives you good news, I think the ladies on PgAL will welcome you with open arms.
