  • It's prickly heat. DD has the exact same rash --only on her torso--and I called the doc and expalined it and that's what they said it is. It wasn't bothering her at all either and cleared within a few days.

I see you live in a cold area---it supposedly comes from overbundling LO. I really dont think I overbundle her, but I guess she's a warm baby!

Google pics of prickly heat and you'll see it's fairly common :)

I was wondering about a food reaction too....  it isn't on her mouth at all.

I was a nervous wreck about this too bc DH has food allergies and I'm really hoping DD doesn't get them.

But when it's a food allergy the rash is usually hives that appear everywhere--esp on the face.

THIS!  My daughter gets it when she is too warm....My son gets a rash like that too but his is eczema....try Aveeno for eczema and dress in cotton....it will go away!

  • Does it feel really bumpy?

My daughter got a rash that looked like this that wouldn't go away.  It ended up being Scarlett fever.  It is an allergic reaction to the bacteria that causes strep throat.  My daughter never had the symptoms of strep throat.
