What do you assume?

I caught myself hoping to O soon today so that I'll be around for the *next* O in Feb. If this cycle goes long, I'll be in the Bahamas, without DH for next O. So I guess, at some level, I'm assuming this won't be our cycle.

What do you assume?

I'm assuming there is no way I'll be pg before my little sister has her baby in May. I was hoping that would soften the blow.

About 75% of the time i assume we won't be successful this cycle, because it's our first TTCAL cycle and "what are the chances we'd have that kind of luck?" I also assume that failing this cycle won't bother me.

I assume I won't get a take-home baby this year. I was supposed to have one in February, so I thought at least having a baby in 2011 would help. I am not convinced this will be our year, but I hope it is.

I assume that I'm going to fall to pieces when I get Af instead of a bfp b/c I am already assuming I'm going to get my bfp right away. I think my first assumption is most likely to be correct.

I assume that we won't get our take home baby this year.. since my cycles are so wacky I might have one more chance this year for a 2011 baby..

The last two times I was PG, I assumed I wasn't so I'm hoping to assume that again in March. But first I am assuming that I will get AF in about 4 weeks (we are TTA) and good results (nothing major wrong) on my RPL b/w in early March. The latter is wishful thinking.

I'm assuming that I won't get pregnant before my RE consult in March (which my doctor told me when she referred them that there are no guarantees that he'll take me).

I assume that the closest I'm going to come to pregnancy symptoms anytime soon are the side effects from the Clomid and Prometrium.

I honestly don't dare assume much anymore.

That said, I realize its really unlikely that I'll be pg before my bff has her baby in March. I also wouldn't be surprised if my younger brother & SIL are expecting before we get BFP#2 (they mentioned starting TTC early in 2011).

This is exactly what I'm thinking right now. Since I'm in FWP right now, I'm hoping some extra BDing will give me something to hope for in another couple of weeks!

I've been hoping that I'd be pg by my friend/coworker's baby shower which is the end of Feb. But that's a ridiculous hope becuase it took us 10 months to get pg the first time and this is only our first cycle cleared (we'd have O time in feb before it - two shots). So now I'm hoping by her due date in May. Maybe I should assume we won't by then and it will be less of a blow.

I assume it won't work, too. We have to decide if we are doing one more IUI or moving to IVF if this cycle fails. When I think about it, I find myself just assuming that this cycle will fail.
