Success after IF

~~~Seasoul~~~Mousey~~~
So something just didn't feel right and since the weather may be really bad tomorrow I went ahead and asked DH to take DD to the pedi and get clearing to fly on Thurs.
Well wouldn't you know she has a DOUBLE EAR INFECTION!!!! I want to cry!!!!! my poor baby...she was fine Fri...guess they can just come on quickly and I feel so bad that maybe I should've brought her back sooner :(
and the fact that we are having a family reunion for my grams birthday on Sat. doesn't make this any easier...she has never met DD and is not a well woman :(
The pedi said we can bring her in THurs mornin to see if she is clear and could still fly but I don't want to take any chances so we will just stay behind...Crying
I just want my baby all betterCrying
  • Oh no!  I'm surprised to hear this!  Good for you, trusting your instinct.  I'm so sorry you have to cancel your trip.  :(  Hope she feels better very soon!
    Childhood cancer (DH) + chemo + radiation = 0 sperm.
    LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
    LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
    Life is beautiful!
  • oh no!  poor little punkin!  Go mommy instincts!!
    Are your flights non-refundable?  How long do ear infections take to get better normally?  I'm sorry, that sucks!!  I'm glad that you found out before taking her on the plane though!  My BFF vividly remembers flying when he was little with an ear infection...he was afraid of flying for a long time afterwards!
  • I'm surprised too!! I really thought they were going to say its nothing, its all in your head. The sitter even said she was eating better not coughing as much and just looked so much better. So I'm pretty shocked too. Thank you so much for your support on the board..you really are sweet!!!
    not sure about the flight....the antibiotics work really fast..she could be better by Thurs but I worry so much about everything that I would not feel right taking her on the plane now..what if it resurfaces...kwim??? Thank you for your support on this board..it really means a lot!!!
