Can anyone tell me a trick to use so I know which "than" to use?
I'm great with the "there"s...lol
I don't know if this is a trick or not, but the rule is that than is for comparing items, and then is for sequence of events.
There are more apples than oranges (comparison)
I like Jill more than Bob (comparison)
I went shopping and then I got gas (sequence of events)
I like to take a bath and then read a book (sequence of events)
The PP said pretty much what I was going to say.
