temping question

I've heard of a changes in temp for implantation, but I don't know if it goes up or down. What does it due if someone gets pg?

A bondafide crap shoot. You can have a triphasic chart where your levels go up and pretty much could signify a pregnancy or not. You can always have flat temps and it's pregnancy or not. I guess really what you want to see is an elevated temperature longer than your usual LP length or 18 DPO.

that is a crap shoot. this is my first cycle temping and it's our first one cleared to TTC. I was expecting a big spike today since O was the day before yesterday,but nothing happened. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe I'm busted.

please don't feel down lotus. My chart is so different than when I got pregnant also. I think it can change drastically from month to month.

You're not busted, but is possible that you didn't O. Sometimes you can get a +OPK but the egg doesn't actually get released - hence the lack of a temp spike. In that case, keep taking OPK because chances are your body will try again with another LH surge, and maybe that time the egg will actually get released.

(I think this is what happened to me this month. My body tried to O at CD13, failed, and instead O'd at CD19).

WTH! I never even considered that.

It really is hard to tell. A pretty chart with clear temp shift and temps that do not drop below the coverline can result in a BFN, and an ugly chart with dotted CH's can result in a BFP.
