Any gift recommendations for a one year old?

MIL is requesting gift ideas for Brady for his birthday in a couple of weeks. I'm going to suggest clothes for summer, puzzles, and books. Other things I would have suggested he just got for Christmas - such as the busy ball popper, Leaf Frog Learn & Grove table, Fisher Price barn set, mega blocks with a truck, My Pal Scout . . .

Anyone have any other suggestions for me?

DS got a wagon for Christmas and LOVES it. I was thinking it would be good to use in a couple of months - nope, loves it now, and I'm sure will love it later, too!

For his first birthday I'm thinking of asking for outdoor stuff - kiddie pool, water table, swing, etc. I know the weather's not quite right for Brady to play with such things now, but maybe go ahead and ask for them?

Oh, also, bath toys. My DS loves bath toys.

Great idea! I am so stuckl in winter mode, I didn't even thing about asking for things for outside when it is finally nice again! Thanks for the suggestions!

If it's from your MIL and you're looking for suggestions for a bigger gift, I say the pottery barn anywhere chair. Or if it's too expensive, then a gift certificate towards one. I didn't get one fore DD's 1st birthday, but she got one for Christmas at 16 months and seriously LOVES it. From what I've heardl, kids like and use them for several years to come. I like the idea for a wagon too. Or how about a cozy coupe car? DD loves hers as well, and it can be played with indoors until it's warm enough to go outside. HTH!
