Success after IF

What OPK brand do you reccomend?

This is probably NOT the best board to ask this question, but for my Natural FET which is coming up (probably next week some time), I have to use an OPk to catch my LH surge.  I bought Answer OPK's (pack of 20) and they are the smallest damn strips Ive ever seen with tiny little lines.  I want to make sure i catch that surge since doing so is so crucial in an unmedicated FET.

Any brands you really like or remember lliking?  I have a Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor from way back in the day, but those test strips are so so pricey.

Severe MFI resulting in IVF/ICSI #1 in Nov 2007. BFP!!
Our beautiful son was born July 2008.
2010: 2 IVF's,1 FET = 2 BFN's, 1 c/p :(
Feb 2011-Unmedicated FET= BFP!! DS #2 born Oct 2011!!.

  • You know what? I actually had the best luck with the internet cheapies. (testsforless.com or something like that??)  I felt like at that price I could check twice each day to be sure I caught a surge if that might happen by some miracle.  lol!!  It was an internet cheapie opk that was sensitive enough to catch the fact that I was pregnant with Katen at around 8dpo actually. I was testing out the LH from the trigger. It disappeared and then came back again.

    Another internet cheapie fan here.

Love that they're cheap so I could test multiple times in one day like the psycho that I am.

Sometimes more expensive isn't necessarily better!

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
  • Definitely DON'T use those Answer brand ones if timing is that crucial - I used those when TTC#1, and would get like 5 days of positives each cycle.  When I went to the RE, he recommended using the digital ones (with the smiley face or the blank circle), and those worked well for me.  They were pricey, but if you need to time your FET, I would go for those!  GL!
