38wk OB appt & Induction scheduled

Went to my regularly scheduled OB appt today which was good after being in L&D on Saturday for consistent contraction for 9hrs. I'm about 2.5cm, between -1 & -2 station & 80% effaced. Doc swept my membranes again & went ahead & scheduled an induction for Wednesday, February 2nd at 9am if LO doesn't come before than. I can't believe that our little man is going to officially be here in a week or less. I think it's finally starting to register. I'm scared, nervous, excited, anxious...so many emotions right now. Just wish SO would talk to me so I knew where he stood too.

did it hurt when then stripped your membranes? what was done during the procedure?

It was uncomfortable, but nothing I couldn't handle. Stripping is basically a more aggressive internal. They sweep 2 fingers around the inside of your cervix to separate your bag of water from the cervix.
