Anyone have LOs crib in your room due to space?

If so, does LO sttn? We have a one bedroom apartment so no choice but to have her crib in our room. She doesn't sttn and I think this has a lot to do with it. I could be wrong, though...so I'm curious what others have experienced.

She wakes up all night and we usually bring her into bed with us at her 4:30 wakeup. I do love co-sleeping but we don't want to do it all the time.

  • Our LO will ONLY sttn if he is asleep in his crib in OUR bedroom . We only have one room right now but were begining to think we might have a problem when we move if he needs us in the room to sleep !

  • yeah we have  LO in our room and he's not STTN but i don't think it has anything to do with being in the room he just wakes up when he's hungry
  • We have a one bedroom too, and LO doesn't STTN. I'm starting to think it may have something to do with us because H doesn't know how to slip into the room quietly, so I think he hears us talking, or moving, or just generally feels our presence. =/

  • Ok LO's crib is in our room due to space but not going to lie, what does STTN mean?
  • My daughter's crib is on our room due to space, and she sleeps from about 8:30pm - 4:30am most nights. I think it depends on the baby and the circumstances. Is your baby disturbed by noise and movement? Do you or your husband toss and turn at night? I live in a fairly noisy urban neighborhood, and learned early on that playing white noise while she slept made a huge difference. We just put an old clock radio near her crib and tune it to static. It drowns out us and the outside noise.

Do you live in NYC? We do. I think DD does hear us moving around. We try to be really quiet but our bed creaks, as does the floor, and we do whisper to each other.

We use a white noise machine and also have a humidifier going. She doesn't seem all that easily woken, but who knows. It's just frustrating...we can't afford another bedroom right now!
