i've had three ultrasounds now and have seen the little heartbeat flickering away. The doctor tried to listen for the heartbeat first today, but didn't pick anything up, so she did an actual ultrasound to see the heart. She said everything looks great, but is it weird not to hear it on the doppler?
Re: Anyone not hear heartbeat?
I've read from pp that finding a heartbeat on doppler is not easy. My doctor was able to find it at 9.5w, but I think from what I read, that is super rare and uncommon. I have not had an u/s though, so he must have something "special". I'd rather an u/s.
I wouldn't worry or stress over it, you saw your lo!!!

With my first, I couldn't hear with a doppler until around 14 weeks because I had a tilted uterus. At that point the baby had gotten big enough to tip it forward and was big enough to hear it anyway.
Don't worry, as long as they can see it with an U/S you are fine!
I've also heard that not being stick thin and having an anterior placenta could also cause you not to be able to hear it!
