So for those of you who take progesterone supplements, when do you take them? My dr wants me to start on them next time I get a BFP but from what I've read here - it seems like a lot of people take them right after they O. I verified with her and she doesnt want me to start until the day I get a BFP. Just curious the difference...

My doctor directed me to take progesterone only after a BFP too. I questioned it as well and called back and was again told to wait until BFP. I've had two losses and I certainly don't want three....so he had BETTER know what he's talking about!
I keep trying to remember that we are all different and our doctors recommend what is right for EACH of us and it's not a blanket diagnosis. Hang in there!
I'm feeling the exact sme way - I just hope she knows what she is talking about! We dont even know for sure this will fix my problem but it can't hurt so we're giving it a try!
My dr. said I should start taking them again when we TTC because it helps to have them at the time of conception. My progesterone was very low right before I MC the last two times - 4 and 7.5, but she said progesterone also drops when you are about to MC. My dr. called it a "chicken and the egg" argument and said it doesn't hurt for me to start taking them ASAP after I O.
I took them for my most recent pregnancy after BFP. It was the first time I had taken them and it seemed to work (I have a thyroid condition which affects hormones like progesterone). I lost the baby at almost 22 weeks but it was not related to progesterone.
