DD has been sick since last Tuesday with cough/fever. The fever was very low grade initially but on Weds. it went up to 102 so we took to the pedi on Fri. Of course, we were told it is just viral and we need to let it run its course...since her throat was red..they ran a culture for strep and it came back negative...
Pedi said if she continues to run a fever and the cough gets worse, come back on Monday. Well...she was better and no fever so no pedi visit yesterday. When I got home she felt a l little warm but she had just finished nursing and sleeping in my arms...took her temp and it was 99..now it was probably just from body heat but of course I worry..the sitter said she didn't want to eat much...In addition I noticed she seems to be getting her 2yr molars which either caused this bad cold or aggravated it, so after I took her temp and she seemed cranky I gave her some motrin and that made her a whole different baby..she was happy again..even ate dinner
We are suppose to fly to Miami on Thurs....So the question here is do I take her to the pedi even though she seems to be better but it would make me feel better since we are flying? Do I risk taking her in and getting more germs just to be told its viral? Or take her in better safe than sorry, especially since we are flying???
btw-she slept good last night and seemed in a better mood this morning...
Thanks ladies! I will be calling the pedi soon....

thanks Seasoul! Would you call the pedi today anyways? I think they will tell me its up to me but they could say bring her in..ugh I'm probably making this bigger than what it is... sorry
With a 99 degree fever, I probably wouldn't. I bet she is on the mend!
