I had my 37 week appointment today. Yay! My OB got me excited saying that I'm full term now and there is no reason to call her unless I'm in active labor - painful contractions 3 to 5 minutes apart for an hour. I clarified that it might take me an hour to get there and she said the same rules apply.
Everyone that sees me is surprised that I'm due so soon; I guess I'm carrying really small. I've gained 35 pounds and it's all in my boobs and basketball belly. I know for a fact that my due date is correct since I was charting when I got pregnant, but I feel like I'm going to go over since I don't have that I'm about to pop feeling that pregnant women often get. I'm jealous of all of you who get told every day that you look like you're about to pop and such!
My OB doesn't do internals until 38 weeks and I haven't had an ultrasound since week 27. But my fundal height is 2 weeks behind now. Hmm... it's been 1 week behind for weeks, but she says she doesn't worry unless it's more than 3 or if there hasn't been any change. Her explanation - I'm going to have a small baby. Has anyone else been told this?
It's seems odd to me. Both dh and I were over 7 pounds (and he's a twin!).
Re: 37 weeks and measuring at 35
Dittooo! (with two weeks behind)
Except i've been getting rude comments from people I hardly know about how I need to wait to go into labor til after my due date because my baby is going to be way too tiny and will need extra help. You know what people who don't have med degrees? How about you stfu.
I posted earlier about this too. Today at my appointment I measured 29.5 weeks and I am almost 36 weeks. They scheduled an ultrasound for tomorrow and I am sure it will be fine, but I can't help but worry.
And then mt mother decides to lecture me about how I am not eating enough... I eat until I am about to pop! I have been gaining wieght and even though she is trying to help... it makes me feel like she is saying it is my fault. Anyway, sorry for the brief vent... hope everything works out! I am sure your dr will follow up with you if there is reason for concern!
