So this weekend I managed to do some serious work towards nesting. I finally finished packing my hospital bag and the baby's bag. I ordered the rug for the boys' room that I have been dying to have since I first saw it, but was trying to wait (until I was scared this weekend that it was discontinued). I sewed a pillow case and two valances for the boys' room. I want to post pictures after it's all done which won't be for a month or two.
I have completely cleaned the boys' room, but still need to vaccum and mop their floor. I actually found myself scrubbing the walls and the side of a bookcase today before I realized what I was doing and started laughing. I have done all the laundry and scrubbed the bathroom. I have cleaned the kitchen (fridge shelves need a wipe down) but can't clean the oven (fumes). Now it's just the everyday stuff to do (DS2's bday party is Saturday) and a little odd and end pick up left. I have put DH to work on several projects that I wanted done before the baby comes, however we have had some setbacks since one of our cast iron basement pipes has a rusted hole that has to be fixed asap. I feel more pressure about the nesting right now since my DH's family will be coming over for the party this weekend, but I will still have a week until LO is here (induction planned Feb 8th). Guess it's time to prioritize... and get to work.
