Like the girl name, your son is going to be battling his name forever. While Harper may have started out a boys' name, like Avery, it now screams girl. I would keep looking for the boy name.
Not a fan of Harper (girl or boy) or Piper. But one thing i must agree one, is that Harper is a girls name. It's one of those names that started out for a boy but now the girls have taken it over. once the girls take it over (like completely over like they have), it's then not good to name a boy that.
Ugh. Harper is a girl's name. I mentioned this before but when I met someone who had two kids named Harper and Lily I asked how old her girls were. She said, "well my daughter Lily is 5 (or 6, don't remember) and my son Harper is 2." Awkward. Please don't use Harper for your son. Robert is good and I like Piper.
Please don't name a boy Harper. I realize that it's a surname, but it's one that is much more often used for girls. The name was ranked #176 for girls by the SSA vs. #734 for boys. As an alternate, what about Holden? It has a literary connection like Harper, has the same number of syllables, and begins with an H, but is commonly associated with boys. Just a suggestion.
I don't care for Amaya, but it's okay. I love Piper.
Harper Robert is okay. I definitely prefer Harper on a boy, but it's not a name I really care for myself. Robert is not one I'm a fan of, but it's a perfectly legit, well-spelled, masculine, strong name. I dislike Piper but Amaya is pretty.
Please do not name your boy Harper. That's a girl's name!! Poor kid will be tortured. I have a guy friend named Carey and he hates it. People always think he's a girl. So embarassing.
in this day and age names don't stick to gender! don't listen to them! i'm using Harper for a girl, but I think Harper is a beautiful name either way! I kinda thought Harper was a boy's name in the first place. Your girl's pick is a great choice too. Piper is always adorable! and I would've taken amaya but my cousin already named his daughter that. It's a great name! We think the same
Re: What do you think?
I guess when I see Harper I think girl, but that might be because I have friends with daughters named Harper.

Harper is totally a girl's name IMO. Robert is fine.
I love Piper, but not a fan of Amaya. I really don't think Piper and Amaya flow well together.

But go with what you love!

Harper = girl.
Piper is NMS.
Love Robert.
Pretty sure she posted this on 1st tri for comments.
OP, I am going to restate my original opinion in short.
Robert is really the only name that I like from your combinations, and Harper is a girl's name.
I dislike Piper but Amaya is pretty.
I agree that Harper is becoming too popular as a girl's name to use it for a boy now.
What about Hudson? It's more masculine (while still used for both boys & girls)
I think Hudson Robert sounds nice.
Harper makes me think girl. I like it a lot though, only for a girl.
Piper is cute, but doesn't flow well with Amaya IMO.
