All our Boy names are being taken....

so I guess this time around I'll have to have a girl! Lol. 4 of my friends are currently pregnant and due between March and May. 3 of the 4 are using the top boy names on our list. With my first 2 DS my DH and I didn't choose a girl name because we just couldn't agree. This time we have 3 on the girl list and now zero for boy names. Maybe it's a sign! Haha...guess I'll have to wait until 20 weeks! Have you had a name discussion yet?

Yup we actually like lots of boys names and are finding it harder for girls names. I hope for a boy this time and to have 2 boys and a girl. But we will see we will be happy with whichever!

My mom and her best friend had babies a year apart and both had loved this one girl name...so they both named their baby girls the same name. My sister and my friend loved growing up with the same name.

Not saying you should do that, but I don't think that you should have to change your name just because someone else picked it first.

As for me, I like boys names so I'm naming my LO a unisex name regardless if it's a boy or a girl. I like strong "masculine" names for girls

there are very few friends who would affect the naming decision. In fact, I think there's really only 2 who I absolutely would not use the same name as.

Heck, when I was pg with DD, she was going to be Lucy for a couple of weeks. My now 1 year old niece is Lacey. My sister asked if I was upset since it was so close to Lucy. I told her it didn't bother me because if we ever have another girl and want to name her Lucy, we will. lol.

I'm probably a horrible friend because most of the time I don't even think about whether I know a child by that name or not when I'm thinking of names.

I don't think there is anything wrong with that. You can't lay claim to any name. If one of my friends used the same name I did, I'd be happy that we both have such great taste! Big Smile Its really not something I can see getting worked up about.

Oh that's too bad!

My friend recently told me that if they had another daughter they would use our super secret fav girl name (of course she had no idea and I didn't say anything). I told DH and he was like, ok we have to beat her!!

The names where Evan, Ryan and Colton. I would still feel okay using Colton since we aren't super close with that friend anymore...but Evan and Ryan are definately out.

and yes, we did pick the names already (Piper Amaya for a girl and Harper Robert for a boy). We thought of other C names-Chase, Conner, and Cooper.

Our original girl name was taken by SIL, but we came up with a different one fairly quick. For the boy name it took a while for us to agree and when we finally had a few we agreed on I let DH make the final decision. So, yes we have had the discussion and we already have them picked out.

We are sticking with family names that repersent our grandparents

Bella Caroline for a girl and Jacob Wilson for a boy. I wouldn't care if someone else pick a name I wanted. i would still use it.

We are going with Aiden James for a boy (James for my uncle who passed DH just adores Aiden though)

We havent decided on a girl name.. DH is hating all my choices except Zariah... We have time though! Going team green so we need at least a solid name for both sexes.

someone on posted on the august board a great site--nymbler.com or something like that. They found it while lurking on the july board. You can enter the names you do like, and it comes up with other ones that you will also probably like. I spent way too much time on it last night You should try that!
