why was your cycle canceled? I was doing an unmedicated FET this month. I had my first monitoring appointment on friday everything looked good. The biggest follie was 10mm they said come back today. Well today they saw nothing! They asked me if its possible I already ovulated? I said I wasn't sure but I guess it was possible? They took bloodwork to look for any problems. I called the nurses line today and they said things didn't look good- the follicle I had probably wasn't a good one? I'm supposed to call next month when AF arrives. I'm still confused why was it so important I even ovulated? I don't understand why they just couldn't check my lining and implant the 2 embies when the lining looked good? Makes me wonder if they're just trying to get another months payment of storage for the embies. They also said they would try estrogen pataches next time around. I'm so upset

Re: FET was canceled today-so upset :( come in if you had canceled cycle
I've had canceled IVFs but never FET so I can't answer your question but I know the disappointment and I'm sorry
HUGS.
You want an FET cycle to mimic a natural cycle as close as possible.
That means timing the embie to hit the uterus at the same time a naturally created one would have - hence it's important that they know when you ovulate.
Technically they could force your body to do what they want it to with drugs but I think you stand a much greater chance if you stay in sync with your body.
Sorry Hon.
I know how much you were looking forward to this and I'm sure another month's storage is a PITA but I really hope that this ends as a beautiful "worth the wait" story for you!!!
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
I'm so sorry. I know this a very emotional roller-coaster. I was very close to having my first FET canceled because my lining was very thin. It caught up, but was still on the very thin side. That cycle didn't take.
I can understand that you're upset, but I think you'd be more upset if they continued with the cycle knowing the chances were slim, and you got a BFN. Then you'd have to do it over, and the money spent would be more.
I'm sorry

I'm sorry.
I had my fresh IVF cycle transfer cancelled and I know how devastating it can be when you have all your hopes tied up in the moment. In my case it was OHSS and it was definitely the right decision to cancel...I knew, my doctor knew it, my husband knew it, but it was so hard to let go of that cycle.
I agree, though, with pp...you have to look at it as giving yourself the best shot at a successful cycle, and this one was obviously not it.
I hope they can figure out the issue and get you back on track soon!
I'm sorry. I know how upsetting it can be.
Our FET was cancelled/restarted twice.
The first time I had a cyst and went on Provera to get AF in order to get rid of it.
The second time, I had light spotting on the Provera and they thought it was AF. They had me start Estrace and we had to go all the way down to my RE 2.5 hours away. I remember I was so mad because I knew the spotting wasn't AF, it was just spotting and I was going to get AF within a week. They checked my lining and gave me the transfer dates. Well, wouldn't you know I got AF a few days later? They put me on bcp's so they could get more control over my body. I took them for about 3 weeks then got AF.
Finally, we got things under control and we were able to do the transfer. Now I have two little girls.
Howley summed up the the ovulation thing so I won't add much to that. I did give myself a trigger shot 5 days before the transfer to make my body think it ovulated.

This is what happened to me. I had severe OHSS and we were there, ready to do the transfer, but we decided the risk to myself should I get pg was too high, based on the severity of my condition already, and cancelled.
Leaving behind my precious embryos was one of the hardest things I had to do. In the end, none of my 25 survived, but I know we made the right decision. I know how bad it sucks to pin everything on that one event and then have it not even happen.
UGH! I am so incredibly sorry! I know that you have to ovulate or catch ovulation at the right time, but i am also not exactly sure why. The follicle also has to collapse etc.
I cant imagine they would try and get more money from you! Im so so sorry, please keep us updated on what they say!
