When should I be concerned?

Okay, I am already concerned but I don't know if I should be. I came home today and dd's right cheek was bright red. She felt a little warm but was super happy and smiley. I checked her temp and it's 99.6. I know last time when it was 99.5 I called the pedi's exchange and they said it's not a fever until 100.4 (which I knew but of course I had to hear it!). So, I'm not sure if I should be concerned right now or what to do about it. She's in a great mood which is great considering her reflux has been bad lately until we switched to soy formula.

Also, last time when it was 99.5 was a couple months ago and the next morning it was back to 98.6.

Any advice?

I think when my girls were that young I started worrying at 99 but from experience I guess I wouldnt get concerened until it hits 100.

And we have had fevers in this house pretty much every night since last April with no answers...I call the doc when DS gets to 103. My DS is much older though. I think at that age and he being my second I would not call until 101 or above. Good luck

Thanks! I checked it before putting her to bed and it rose to 99.8 but DH had just been playing with her making her giggle. (After I had just told him I'd be up in a sec to take her temp! Ugh, men!) I checked it again a couple minutes ago and it was down 99.4. Hopefully it'll all be back to normal in the morning.
