I saw on your post below that Smith wasn't saying the "s" sound properly.  Did he have a lisp?  Jaxon seems to have a lisp, and I'm not sure what (if anything) I can do at this point.  DH is telling me to stop worrying bc he is only 19 months, but I can't!

  • No, it was just the s sound...we just kept working with him until he started saying them. I've heard different things on when to start focusing on issues with speech...I happened to be talking to someone who worked at AU Speech Therapy, and they said they would wait about the letter "s" until he was 4 or 5 before really taking an effort to correct but since his teacher had a degree I brought it up and she offered to help. Our daycare sent home a flier every now and then about free speech and hearing testing, and I think it was for an individual who did them from Lafayette ? I am pretty sure Auburn does them too though.
