50% effaced! Yay! But painful cervix since appt.?

So I just had my 2nd internal (not painful again btw) and he told me I'm 50% effaced, although no dilation yet. Thats progress! I was only softened last week. But anyway, since the appointment, every step I take gives me those sharp jabs in the cervix like I had a few days ago when I had false labor. No contractions, just that sharp pain with every step. I have no clue why.

Did/has this happened to anyone else after an internal?

Congrats on the progress! I haven't had the sharp pain after an internal, but I do get it randomly. I asked my doctor about it, and he said it's just the baby either laying on your cervix or kicking it. The lower baby gets, the more of those pains we'll feel. We're almost there!

I am right there with you! I was 1cm last week at my appointment and ever since then I get those sharp jab like pains when I walk and even when I try and turn over in bed! I was having some false labor the other night too that really was giving me those jobs to the cervix. My dr. office said it was just him getting ready.... I wish he would just get here already I am ready to meet him (and not feel like this anymore)

I found out tonight I'm also 50% effaced and 1 cm dialated. The internal kinda seemed to rock LO's world - she was moving around like crazy in weird positions and I felt crampy and just different for a few hrs after....
