Trouble TTC

Anyone have hysteroscopy and bleeding afterward?!?

I had a hysteroscopy procedure done (polyp removal) last Tuesday. I was okay, with some cramping and spotting up until Saturday and then I had pretty heavy flow on Saturday and again today. I spoke with the doctor yesterday and she told me that it happens sometimes. I am just worried that I might have an infection or something. I was in pain on Saturday, but only minor pain today. Anyone have this?

And those who have had it done, how long did you wait until you started to TTC again? I was told to wait 2 weeks (which means this month is out the window). Thanks!

Re: Anyone have hysteroscopy and bleeding afterward?!?

  • I had bleeding for a few days after mine as well.  They told me it was normal.   I think you are OK infection wise, unless you have a fever.  I was in alot of pain, but I think that was more from the endo removal than the hysteroscopy.

I have to wait for IVF for TTC,  so I'm not sure how long you have to wait.   Good luck, hope you feel better soon!

  • I was bleeding/spotting for about a week after. I was told I could TTC on my own that month but could not start treatment until the following month.

  • My bleeding/spotting stopped the Sunday after my hysteroscopy.  I had mine done on a Tuesday as well (it will be 2 weeks ago tomorrow).  My RE said I could have that for almost 2 weeks after the procedure.  So I was glad it stopped almost a week later

I had some minor spotting/bleeding after mine.  I wouldn't worry too much, unless the pain or bleeding worsens.  I'm pretty sure we had to abstain for a week or two.  We started trying again the month after.
