What do you worry about most?

As I anxiously await my little girl, my mind has often wondered about all the unknown aspects of parenthood.  I know there aren't really any hard and fast rules when it comes to raising children but I'm curious what comes to your minds when you think about having your first baby (or second or third!).  What do you worry about? concerns? thoughts? goals?

  • My biggest one is that I won't be able to bring him home. The next one is that I'll drop him when bathing him.

  • It's actually nt that hard, newborns kind of ease us into the whole parenting thing! At first, they're really just lumps of people who need round the clock caretaking, and when they start to test things and learn things that's when the teaching comes in- but that's not for a whole 9 months or so! Plenty of time to be ready for the kind of little personality you're going to have to learn how to handle. :)

The thing I'm most worried about right now is my sinus infection. It sounds silly, but I don't want to be delivering and not be able to breathe through my nose when I need to, or being kept from kissing her sweet face because I don't want her to get it. :( My stuff is grass green, and I see the OB on Weds. so hopefully she can get me on some antibiotics to clear this up asap! The rhinitis is harmless and not contagious, but this infection is and I can't imagine giving this to a newborn. :(

  • BF'ing has become a huge concern of mine.

And time going too fast...I can't believe my DS is 11!

  • I'm worried about BFing and how having a baby is going to change the nice little life that H and I currently have (sleeping in, leisurely brunch, traveling, etc.) Everyone says it's a good change and I hope they're right!

  • I'm worried that he will fuss, then cry, then wail about something and I won't know what it is and I won't be able to soothe him. :(

  • I'm actually really worried about potty training.  I know I don't have to worry about that for awhile however it has got to be my biggest fear.

All of the above, but mostly this ^

Also, how well our 3 dogs will do with the baby, and how I will be able to handle the 3 dogs and a newborn??

  • That he'll be the type of kid that's allergic to everything. Our style is so laid back I don't know how we'd handle that.

DH and I have both been sick for about a week. It wasn't fun. the worst though is coughing pp with stitches. Apparently it takes my full body to cough.
  • I worry mostly about how this new little baby will effect DD. We've been trying to prepare her and talking about what is going to happen. Still I don't know how much she "gets it"
  • As a mom for my 3rd boy - I'm terrified about going grocery shopping with three of them lol!  Silly I know

  • I worry about breastfeeding. I also worry about if our LO will really be allergic to everything. My DH was when he was younger and also has asthma. I just pray that our kid gets my healthy genes, ha.
  • I've been worried about a lot but I've decided to just let go of all of that. I'm going to go with the flow and handle things has they come, that's all you can really do, I guess.

    This. Absolutely.

  • My biggest worry lately is that I will go into labor while driving by myself. I know it's dumb because it ramps up so I'd probably have time to get home, get DH and get to the hospital but I think about it whenever I go anywhere.

  • I'm worried because I know nothing about newborn care!  How do I bathe her and get her floppy little body into clothes?  The thought of going back to work full time scares me too.
