North Metro Midwives & Maple Grove Hospital...?

Any have experience with either of these places... facilities & professionals?

DH and I live near St. Cloud but want to deliver @ Maple Grove so we can have a midwife attended waterbirth.  We are looking into having the rest of our prenatal appointments with the midwife team @ North Metro Midwives and then deliver @ MGH.

Let me know your thoughts, opinions, & experiences!

    I can't speak to Maple Grove as we hope to deliver at Robbinsdale, however I recently switched from my obgyn clinic to North Metro Midwives and am so much happier. I've only had two appointments (first was basically an informational interview so that DH would feel more comfortable using a midwife) and both times have seen Jessie. She has been awesome so far and I hope at my next appointment I get to meet one of the other midwives. NMM fits my idea of what kind of care/experience I was looking and I'm confident I made the right decision. Sorry I don't have much more information but my next appointment (glucose test) is in 2 weeks so I may have more information then!

    Go for it! Katherine, Andrea, and Jessie are all amazing!! They are by your side the entire time you are in labor the only problem was we wanted desperately to go to maple grove (the whole reason for the switch at first). Problem was the night we went to the hospital they were diverting. Everyone wants to go there so they've been really busy! Although NMM also delivers at Robbinsdale and they also have whirlpool tubs that you can use. But trust me it's no Maple Grove. That's alright though I still wouldn't have had it any other way. Maybe next time we'll make it to maple grove. Katherine was still there and it was a beautiful and amazing experience! I love all of them! Even my husband misses being able to see them every week!
