hi! DD is 1yr tomorrow so this weekend i started to try to switch off formula and onto whole milk. wellllllll she hates it. She's used to her formula bottles being warmed, so the cold milk--especially in the sippy---she wants nothing to do with it. But last night i put it in a cup of hot water while i got her dressed for bed time. and she chugged it down. So clearly its the cold issue but i hate ot open a can of worms by heating her cows milk too. I dotn want her getting used to warm milk only!
So help! please! how did you do it if your LO didnt like it at first?
thanks!
Re: switching to whole milk advice needed please
i did half milk half formula and changed it gradually.
we continue to heat just his night bottle and at first would just take the chill off the daytime sippys( less than 10 seconds in water or microwave worked)
so now he drinks cold from sippy and warm for night bottle

This exactly. DS has always taken his bottles right out of the fridge (phew!) and I was still nursing, but we gave him a little bit of formula too. We were mixing them together, gradually reducing the portion of formula until it was all milk. Now he can't get enough of it!
Also, one realization that helped me - it's not like formula becomes suddenly bad for them the day they turn 1 year old. So if it takes a few weeks after it's not that big a deal, they're still getting nutrition!
