When are you starting to plan, send out invites, etc? I've been kicking around ideas & wasn't sure of when I should start deciding on stuff, ordering cake & invites :-)

I will start sending out invites and getting things together after my own birthday which is the middle of April. That gives me a month and a half. The 1st birthday is more for the parents anyway. Hudson will have a smash cake however.

I'll probably start really doing it in late March or early April, although I'm already thinking a lot. I think my theme is going to be alphabet blocks.

I started planning at the beginning of this month. I needed to pick a theme early so that I could order her birthday shirt in time for her pictures in March. I plan to send the invites about 5 weeks in advance.

I just decided on a theme this past weekend "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and will have the invites and stuff ready to go within the next couple weeks. I wont send them out until about 4-5 weeks before the party and I am making her cake myself. I am doing the same theme for my sil's baby shower the following weekend.

I will probably send invites at the end of April/beginning of May (her birthday is June 2nd). It's only our immediate families attending (grandpas, grandmas, our sisters + husbands, and cousins), so they will already know the date of her party ahead of time. I have her theme picked out and I've been looking for decorations, but haven't bought anything yet.

I've been planning for a couple of weeks now. I'm making everything (decorations, invites, tablecloths etc) so I need time to do it all. I'll send out invites a few weeks in advance.

We wont really be having big party for LO for his first birthday. Once he's bigger, we'll do more.

But that being said, I may get a small set of Mickey Mouse birthday stuff for our family that will be here, and get him a smash cake, then just a regular sheet cake for everyone else. Maybe a cookout. I'll start planning it around the beginning of May, I suppose.

I haven't even started thinking about it and am sort of dreading moving over to 9-12 because I know that's a huge topic over there. I can't really come to terms with the fact that my baby will be turning 1 soon!!!!! Crying

I've been thinking about her birthday as well, infact I've got it all planned I just need to put it into motion. I'll mention it to people a few months from now - at least the ones that I want to be there FOR SURE so they can all be prepared. But I probably won't send out invites until about 6 weeks before her birthday. I'll probably put it into motion 10 weeks before, order cake and invites and everything. I'm making her first birthday pretty huge and can't wait. I think the first birthday is a huge milestone and therefore should be celebrated as such - at least for us.

I have it narrowed down to 2 themes. We'll do a coin toss haha. I'll be making most of the decorations to save money and getting plain colored plates to match the colors in the theme. I'll probably send invites out about a month before so end of april (DD's bday is may 21 which is a saturday so we're probably doing the party that day

I'm pretty sure I want to do a "Bee" theme. Yellow, black and white. DDs birthday is June 1st so we'll have her party on June 4. We will be traveling home to California for it so I'm not sure where we'll have it or how many people we will invite.

I do know that we plan to take her to Disneyland ON her birthday. YAY!
