Fenugreek or Mother's Milk Tea - reactions?

Hello! I bought both of these things to see if I can up my supply or keep it from slipping at least. I know sometimes there can be some stomach issues with Fenugreek and I was just wondering if anyone knew how quickly that occurs. I started the Fenugreek this morning and I'm planning to do 2 caps 3x a day. I want to hold off on the tea until I know if the Fenugreek upsets him. Also - how long did it take to see results? Thanks!!

ugh. I drank the mother's milk tea and got TERRIBLE stomach pains. I eventually had to stop.

try to keep food in your stomach especially when taking the pills.

I tried Fenugreek only and it didn't help my supply and it also made me smell like maple syrup! I guess it could be worse

Fenu works well for me. I usually see an increase in about 24 hours. I also did the tea, but don't know if it helped. It did get me drinking more liquid. I had no adverse stomach reactions for me or LO and I'm pretty sensitive. GL!

I did fenugreek/blessed thistle for a week and saw small results, but the reaction to it was in DD through my milk. She cried for 3 days straight before I figured it out. She got used to it after that, but I won't put her through that again.

I never tried Fenugreek, but I drank MMT with no issues, usually two cups a day. I'd drink it at my desk during the work day in between sucking down 100 ounces of water. I think it helped increase my output a little -- not a huge amount, but enough that I kept drinking it!

i always took the pills with some food so i never had any issues. i saw a difference in my supply ina bout 4-5 days.

I take the maximum dose of fenugreek (4 caps 3x/day) and never had a problem. We had a problem when I added blessed thistle. Anna had severe diarrhea the entire time she got milk with blessed thistle in it.

I wouldn't start both things at 1 time. Start one of them, wait a week and see how D adjusts and then add the other. That way if there's a reaction, you know which one it's to.

Thanks this is what I'm going to do. I remember you said that about blessed thistle. He didn't gain quite enough at the last appt. No problem yet, we have to wait and see what happens next month. The doctor isn't worried at all but I know I'm not getting the same results pumping anymore so I'm concerned. sigh.
