NOVA ladies

I feel like there was some planning going on for a NOVA/DC gtg? I know I've seen lots about the national one lately, but can't remember any specifics for a NOVA one. So is everyone game? What's everyone's schedules looking like? I'm free pretty much whenever, but thinking with the SuperBowl coming up, maybe we should shoot for the end of Feb? And where do we want to do it? I'd be happy to host at my house, we've got a playroom in the basement, or we can do it at a restaurant or somewhere like At Play Cafe. njdcgirl, would you prefer we skip the kiddos? I know Andrew can't get sick!

I'm not a huge fan of trekking out to DC, either. If we get enough Fairfax ladies, maybe we can just do it in Ffx county?

Wooo, I'm totally down. I don't really have a preference where, but in fairfax county would be great to avoid DC. End of Feb sounds fine to me, just not Feb 19th - the hubby's 30th bday party is that night. Dinner somewhere? Or perhaps a potluck @ someone's house? DD's bedtime is btwn 7-8pm & I really would prefer not to be out with her past 5pm, b/c she starts getting sleepy/fussy around then...maybe a lunch would be best if the kiddos are coming along? If not, then any time in the evening on weekends (I work during the week, but am home on all Fridays) work for me! So excited to meet you ladies.

What does everyone think about a brunch? We could do potluck-style over at my house on a Saturday, maybe like 10-12ish or so? Hopefully that wouldn't interfere too badly with morning/afternoon naps...qtpa2t, would that work at all with your schedule?

A Sat brunch sounds good to me & a potluck-style would work so you don't have to cook everything.

My DD will probably be okay around that time, if not, she'll sleep in her carseat...she only takes short naps in the afternoon anyways. Just let me know once everyone checks their schedules. Looking forward to meeting you ladies!

My schedule is different every week, so if I am off and available, I am in for sure! I love SAIF get-togethers in NOVA!!! I will make sure that the others are aware as well (desabean, charmcitygirl, smudgesmom and tekyelgif and maybe if skoorb is in town).

I'm totally in! And you all definitely bring your cuties...I just need to leave Andrew home with dad. Once RSV season ends, I'll bring him to something (and I'll bring pics this time!

Lunch sounds good, and potluck is the way to go!

the weekend of Feb 19th is the best for me, but I may be able to sneak away the 26th as well (SIL is coming to town).

ETA: Woops! didn't see that the 19th was bad for JDS. I'm sure I can do it the 26th if that's the date decided on (my SIL really just wants to see Andrew anyway! LOL!)
