Reccomend your face lotion and wash

I am almost out of moisturizer and face wash - do you have any that you love? I like items I can find in stores, so if it is a product they have at Sephora or Whole Foods that would be a bonus.

  • I use Dr. B's Tea Tree Oil Soap and love it for my acne-prone skin.

I am still looking for a good lotion.

  • For facewash, I've been using Burt's Bees Chamomile and...??? don't remember. ?For face lotion, I'm using Origins because I ran out while OOT and only had dept stores near my hotel. ?However, it is paraben and other things free, so that was a plus. ?When that runs out I'll be looking for a new one too b/c that one was $$$.

  • I'm a big fan of Philosphy products. ?I use their "Purity" facewash and I love it. ?The bottle lasts a long time too!

  • I use BWC (Beauty Without Cruelty) products...a face wash, moisturizer, and eye gel.  I get them in the Nature's Marketplace section at Wegmans, so Whole Foods might have them too!

  • I just started using burts bees orange oil cleaner. It's a bit odd if you aren't used to an "oil" face cleaner. It doesn't leave your skin feeling like soap does, but it is clean. I also use weleda almond oil face moisturizer. I used to have really oily skin but since having DD it's been really dry so I need the extra moisture the "oil" and lotion provide.
  • Philosophy products are not eco/animal friendly...just FYI.

I use 2 types of face wash - both you can get at whole foods. First - just a plain old fashioned glycerine or olive oil based bar - works fine for me. DH likes liquid so we got the Home Health stuff - it was cheaper and holy cow is it thick - one squirt is def. all you need!

HATE the Dessert Essence cactus wash or whatever it is - it is SO watery and totally ineffective (I judge all face soaps by their ability to remove my mascara with minimal scrubbing - random but true).

For lotion I prefer a thicker version - the vitamin C (can't remember brand) one in the orange container at Whole Foods is great. DH likes Aveda.

A good place to try if you don't have a Whole Foods nearby is mothernature.com - it is also a generally good source for info...
