  I know exactly what your going through. I had pree with my DD and hoping and praying for a healthy low risk pregnancy. So far it's already not looking so great. My bp was elevated at y first appt. Not high enough for testing yet but enough for my doctor to think it a concern. Plus this time I am dealing with a short cervix from a leep procedure done in August. My T&P's are with you that everything is normal and you have a healthy pregnancy this time around.

   Just a little dissapointed. Glad, I guess... that he is taking precautions, but not happy with having to start a new medication and all that mess. =(

  Oh well, as long as the baby & myself are ok, Im happy.

  You aren't the only one! This is my first pregnancy and I came in with slight hypertension due to some congenital kidney problems, and at my first visit my OB ordered a 24-hr urine. Everything was OK but that is not a fun test. Haven't had to do the glucose yet though. She's also ordered an EKG and echocardiogram just to get a baseline -- both came back normal. Not fun to go through all this, but I do feel better knowing she'd on top of things to make sure me and baby stay safe!

  The doctor had me do the 1 hr glucose test, just because PCOS runs in my family and doctors had thought I had it earlier on.. and PCOS can bring on gestational diabetes... that drink they make you take is HORRIBLE!!!  I hope I NEVER have to do that again!

  This is my first pregnancy but I have had problems with high BP before BFP.  My dr is watching me close but has not said anything about 24 hr UA or glucose yet.  Hope it all works out for you hon.  Will be thinking about you.  Keep me updated!

  I'm doing the 1-hr glucose test around my 14 week appointment. I thought that seemed kinda early but wasn't sure, so I didn't ask. I'm wondering if it's b/c I have PCOS.

  I have to have a glucose test at my 11 1/2 week appointment.  There is a history of diabetes on both sides of my family and I'm overweight, so the doc wanted to get an early reading.

  I just did the 24 br hr urine collection bc of existing high bp. They are just establishing baselines in case they need to run comparisons in the future. It wast bad and I'd rather the docs be proactive and closely monitored than not. And I have the docs a bit confused bc all woodwork is excellent and I am very tiny with no habits that could cause high hp. Guess genetics just prevail sometimes.
